Like most fabulous innovations, Jetboil started with frustration followed by a simple but powerful idea. Company founders, Dwight Aspinwall and Perry Dowst, were fed up with heavy vacuum bottles and clunky stoves, so they set out to make outdoor cooking easier. That is, they wanted to reduce heat loss between the heat source and the cooking surface. Alternating between lab and mountains, a series of designs were subjected to intense experimental and field testing, ultimately resulting in the Jetboil™ Personal Cooking System (PCS), a product that makes hot food preparation simpler, faster, and more efficient than ever before.
Jetboil is ideal for outdoor activities where simplicity, light weight and reliability are paramount (motorcycle camping!). Jetboils integrated design eliminates the need for additional accessories like mugs, pot holders, pumps and windscreens because the unit merges fuel, heater, and a combination cooking/drinking vessel into one compact appliance. And you can carry less fuel because the patent-pending FluxRing technology enables Jetboil to boil water faster while using less than half the fuel when compared with conventional packable stoves and cookware combinations.
